What User doesn't like about Super Taqueria:
Not great experience, asked for grilled chicken they told me they don't have it that chicken is only for tacos even though it it's on the menu , asked for milanesa de pollo, the taste is sour and you can definitely taste the ammonia in it ... just hoping I don't get sick ... I didn't finished the plate, just left. View all feedback.
We were recommended to try this restaurant because of its authenticity and affordability. We visited on a Saturday evening and ordered at the counter after reviewing their menu displayed on a digital sign. There were no prices listed, but we decided to go with a carne asada plate, a tostada camaron, and two horchatas. Although my Spanish isn’t very good, I managed to communicate with the clerk, pay by credit card, and take a numbered sign back to our table. Just a heads up: there was no option to add a tip to the credit card payment, so we left a few dollars in the tip jar. The food arrived relatively quickly and was delicious, satisfying, and budget-friendly (the two of us ate for under $25). They also have a station with salsas and some sides like pico de gallo and vegetables. We don’t often visit this part of Durham, but we will definitely consider returning.
This is definitely our favorite spot for Mexican food in the Triangle. The tacos are fantastic, and the aguas frescas are delightful. The quesadillas are not only tasty but also enormous. It's a no-frills place, but the prices are unbeatable! Just a heads-up: the salsas pack quite a punch!
This is a decent Mexican restaurant, though the melon juice didn’t taste very fresh, and the tortillas are sourced from another location instead of being made in-house. The gordita wasn't impressive either. Overall, it's not a bad spot, but it doesn’t stand out. They do have a nice selection of extra toppings, and the service was satisfactory.
Well I can tell you the lamb is delicious and my wife, who is Hispanic, said the beef is also of great quality! She had the gorditas which you probably only need one. They have a salsa bar for you to fix your tacos/food the way you like and they have very good salsas. Tacos are only $2, and you will probably only need two of them. You can't beat that price for sure. Service was great and the staff are friendly.
We stopped here while visiting the Museum of Life and Science because it was right around the corner. I'm very glad that the person that I was with spoke Spanish because I think that I was the only non Spanish speaking person in the restaurant, you don't get much more authentic than that : The kids had quesadillas that were about 1/2 thick with cheese!! My friend had bean tacos which were $1.50 each, ones with meat were the same price; they each had about 1/4 of a fresh sliced avocado on them! I had a chili relleno with beans and rice which was really good and a large pina colada aqua fresca which was so yummy! I will definitely be learning Spanish so that I can go back!!
