Two adults dined for under $50, which is quite a steal! We ordered appetizers, hibachi or teriyaki meals, and kid's meals right from the screen at our table, and the food was delivered to us promptly. The sushi was a fun experience too—it comes on a conveyor belt with various types, served in sets of four rolls on a plate.
We also enjoyed dipping sauces, soup, and some appetizers that were served in an open basket.... View all feedback.
What Janet Goodart Smoak doesn't like about Rockin’ Rolls Sushi:
This restaurant has the potential to be great, but honestly, it's the worst sushi I've ever had. The rice was cold and lacked flavor, and the deep-fried sushi was like tasteless shoe leather. I'm really disappointed, as I’ve been searching for a fantastic sushi or Japanese restaurant. They made an effort, and the prices were reasonable, but I can't recommend any of the dishes since they all fell flat in terms of tast... View all feedback.
Perhaps one of the most interesting concepts I've seen in a long time. Clean, friendly and so much food. For one person, you eat all you want of EVERYTHING! The food is too tier, which makes it interesting. This isn't your corner store sushi: this is fantastically made by a team that clearly cares.
I visited this conveyor belt sushi restaurant on a Saturday afternoon with a party of 3. Despite the off-peak hour, we had to wait about 40 minutes for a table. This may be due to the fact that only one conveyor belt was operating at the time. The price was good for the value, but the sushi was not fresh and tasted bland. The fish was not spoiled, but it did not have much flavor. I will come back again for dinner one day, hoping that the food will taste better. The choices are also quite limited, so do not expect to find the same variety as you would in a Japanese conveyor belt sushi restaurant, like what you see on YouTube videos of Japan. The service at Rockin’ Rolls Sushi Durham was great. Our waitress was very attentive and brought out our orders quickly. She was also very knowledgeable about the menu and made some great recommendations for us.
I cannot give this place enough stars. My wife and I come here on special occasions and it's always phenomenal. Friendly staff, delicious sushi, and reasonably priced. If there were anything I'd improve, it would just be more variety of sushi. However their current variety is still great.Food: 5/5
The sushi comes on a conveyor belt. You can also order additional items from a touch screen at your table and they bring it to you. All you can eat for like $20 per person.Food: 5/5
The sushi and appetizers were good. It's not high end sushi, but this isn't intended to be. It's still tasty, and it's all you can eat. The hostess was very nice and we were seated pretty quickly. They have booths and counter seating, all of which have the same access to the conveyor belt. You can also order appetizers, kids food, and entrees from a tablet at the table. They bring it out on a cart. Really fun place to go!
