Rise - Durham

I visited this restaurant nearly a decade ago when it was the only unique flagship store, before people truly recognized how great Durham was. I still find myself ordering from here frequently. The pimento cheese is fantastic, and the hushpuppies are crispy and flavorful. The cheddar cookies are delicious as well. The dishes prepared with the boom boom sauce are outstanding. Over the years, the menu and overall structure have evolved as they expanded and became a franchise, but it remains my go-to spot for picking up breakfast.

Wow! I thought this place would be completely overwhelmed by my friends who recently moved to Chapel Hill, but I’m thrilled to say it wasn't. We ordered online ahead of time since this spot tends to get busy almost every morning. The pickup process is quite unique; they open a locker that holds your order, which is heated to keep the food warm. I had the Nashville hot chicken, and it was amazing! The chicken was incredibly juicy and cooked to perfection, the cookie was fantastic, and the sauce had a nice kick. My friend, who usually orders the buffalo chicken, mentioned that the Nashville hot was much spicier, so keep that in mind if you want to challenge her! My mouth waters just thinking about that sandwich. You should definitely order from here; you won’t be disappointed!

You can't go wrong with her cookies! I really appreciate that they offer good vegetarian options, including fried green tomatoes!

I've been eating here since the first opening. it's getting better. their ability to serve an enormous amount of people at once is spirit flowers. right up there with Chick-fil-A, if not faster. and omg that speck, ei and cheese the bomb is.

Food is always fresh and yummy! I ordered fries, cheese grits and buttermilk bacon, egg and cheese biscuit online for pick-up. The food was ready super quick and my fries were fresh and hot. My grits and buttermilk biscuit are always so good! I absolutely love this place! I live only 5 minutes away and it is a pleasure to order breakfast for a quick visit.
