The food was delicious... the capital D is not an exaggeration. For Mexican food, this is as brilliant as it gets my humble opinion. The service was very attentive, but not inconspicuous; the portions were generous, but just enough. The terrace setting is great with the gentle lamp lighting. Hasn't ordered drinks, but all the margaritas close by, I bet they were great. Certainly she will try next time; will be back a... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Los Tres Mexican:
Looks very nice when you walk through the door, beautiful wooden tables and seats. Then the host decides to seat us in the front hidden corner of the restaurant next to a couple broken tables with dusty seats and tool boxes. There were plenty of open seats in the restaurant so this surprised us. As soon as we sat down, the table is so close to the seats, we stepped all over each other 's feet. Our server arrives and... The food was Delicious... capital D is not an overstatement. For mexican food, this is as awesome as it gets my humble opinion. Service was very attentive yet not obnoxious; portions were generous yet just enough. The patio setting is great with the gentle bulb lighting. Did not order drinks but looking at all the margaritas going around, i bet they were great. Certainly will try them next time; will def be back and have a dd. What a great find after an REI visit!
Just had a pleasant and simple experience here. The food was good and there were no problems. Just a super solid restaurant. If you are looking for a good food, check this place.
Overall I'd consider going back. My food was tasty and the restrooms were very clean. Only hesitation to give 5 stars are the chips were stale--chips and salsa being a major component to my choice of Mexican restaurant so ignore if you're indifferent--for us being there right when they opened, and the sweet tea could have been brewed a little longer, and for the few people there I was surprised how infrequently the water checked on us. Overall I was pleased, but couldn't give it five stars for the reasons above.
This place is a throwback Mexican experience for me. Their decor is bright, bold and detailed with their history. I ordered the Carne Asada with their signature margarita. The steak was a little to overcooked and crispy for my liking. The mole and rice was delicious. My margarita tasted a little water down with a little more lime than normal. I asked for extra hot sauce and they brought us over what appeared to be their homemade hot sauce. It was absolutely hot and delicious that complimented my dish. The location was easy since it’s in the beautiful Renaissance Shopping Center. Staff was extremely friendly. Service was on par considering it was the start of peak hours. We were there at 5pm. Cleanliness was okay but they could definitely try to wipe off the menus, salt and pepper shaker because it was very sticky. Overall it was a good experience.

Our server arrives and says, why are you guys hiding?! He seemed to notice however he was very nice and the food was okay but sorry to say we would not go back. I will not complain at a restaurant because they 're handling our food but they definitely need to work on these things.
