J J Fish Chicken - Durham

I've read the comments before I left because I really wanted fried fish badly. I usually go to Mr.shark, but they were closed. At first the fish was soggy even after I asked to fried hard. I was so upset because the comments thought that was a hit. In any case, do not recommend this place. Hush puppies were also terrible.

All right! My husband is of Mississippi me?m of Missouri and we have not been able to find a good catfish place since the movement here and that's it. We have SO MUCH lining for our big cats for only $11,99. Homey hospitality great food. You were very kind.

First time experience was great. Food was excellent and the service was good. I got oysters and fish both were delicious.

Fish sandwich was great. So was the Mac and cheese. Chicken legs were good too but too crunchy for my taste. I?d return for fish items and hot dogs. The restaurant is pork free. That?s nice for those who are concerned.

Open late, placed my order at nearly 11pm and the gentleman was courteous knowledgeable. At pickup, my semi particular order was perfect. Everything was fresh, crispy, seasoned lovely, and not at all greasy. Of the items we tried, the jumbo shrimp was the standout. Delicious! And for the size, amount, and quality(no poop) extremely reasonably priced. Second, the Gizzards. An impulse add but I?m so glad I did. I feel like I never had gizzards prepared properly until trying these. Then, Gyros! Gotta love late night Gyros. Slightly light on the protein, but still delicious, fresh, and presented nicely. The sides were fresh and as good as anticipated great slaw, seasoned fries, your basic green beans, baked Mac cheese was creamy good as is; I could see maaaybe someone salt ?n peppering their own but it was good. Strange hush puppies but they did the trick Woof! Shhhh, here.. I?ll be returning very soon to fill the craving. Thank you for such a fantastic meal and professional service.
