The Barbacoa Crunch Wrap at this restaurant was absolutely incredible - one of the best things I've ever tasted! Although I personally didn't care for the spicy salsa, my companion enjoyed it. The queso dip paired perfectly with the chips. Don't forget to grab a Mexican coke for a truly authentic experience. Overall, highly recommend trying this dish! View all feedback.
What Loraine Farrell doesn't like about Ex-voto:
Crunch wrap is good. Mole tamales are not good. In fact. It’s closer to corn bread with canned mole sauce on top than a tamale. I’m sure the burritos are decent though. View all feedback.
This restaurant in the food hall is one of my favorites. I always enjoy the dishes, especially the crumbs and burritos. The ingredients are always fresh and the service is fast. I have visited many times and will continue to do so.
Wondered in with my coworkers this afternoon in search of a quick but delicious bite before breaking for the winter holiday. Definitely was not let down with Ex-Voto! This was my first time at the DFH so I wasn’t sure what to expect. The guys we met were very friendly and welcoming and explained the menu items to us. We were sold pretty quickly, especially after seeing the photo of the crunchwrap, ha. Hands down one of the best food experiences that lingers in downtown Durham. The flavors? Exquisite. Presentation? Served it in style. Would definitely love to go again. Thanks guys!
What a great place! My friend and I had the spicy chorizo crunchwrap and a breakfast burrito. Every bite of the crunchwrap was exploding with flavor and that hoop cheese...seals the whole experience! I can't even describe how delicious the breakfast burrito was. I think they scramble each of these guys to order! I love a breakfast burrito and this one is the best I've had. I am still thinking about that crunchy hashbrown. Remember to make it dirty if you like their hoop cheese (I will add hoop cheese to anything The staff was seriously cranking when we visited, and our service was excellent, friendly and attentive. We will definitely be coming back soon. Need to try some tamales now!
Barbacoa crunch wrap was delicious, nice balance of flavors! I look forward to returning to try the tamales and breakfast burritos.
This restaurant is amazing. While Mexican dishes are common in this area, they have never been my favorite. However, the experience of eating here was incredible! I recently tried the chicken crunch wrap, and it was one of the best Mexican/Southern fusion dishes I have ever had. It may have been the best lunch I've had all year. The wrap had a generous amount of tender, juicy chicken, queso, crema, salad, pico, and a tostada, all wrapped in a delicious flour tortilla with melted cheddar cheese. It was a guilty pleasure for sure, but it was like a party in my mouth—hot, fresh, and delicious.
