What Aquarius Grady doesn't like about El Rodeo South Square:
This place was awful. It was extremely disappointing when I hadn't ate all day! I wanted to some Mexican food(my favorite), came here and the chicken was Luke warm, the shrimp was not fresh. The flavors didn't go well together. The vegetables wasntfresh(the peppers were good). Last, the tortilla chips were stale and watery. Poor customer service!!! The only thing that wasgood was the price!!! View all feedback.
Went for dinner tonight, their food is really good, but when we went in something was off. I never felt more unwelcome any where I 've been. We were shown out set and not a word was spoken. The waitress came around and we ordered our drinks and reviewed themenu, (been there before so we pretty much knew what they had). The drinks came and we asked for some time to re-review themenu, and then we waited some more. We ordered out food and it was brought out very soon and it was good as usual. However, thewaitress never came back to check if all was ok, didn 't ash about drink refills or anything else for that matter. She didfinally bring our check (again saying nothing), I put my card in the holder and it was picked up. When she brought back, not aword was spoken, no thank you or anything else one might say to encourage us to come back. A good meal in a veryunsatisfactory place.
Some of the better Mexican food I've had in the Durham-Chapel Hill area. The beef in the burrito was nicely seasoned. Thre sauce on the burrito was delicious. As you can see from the photo, it is a huge burrito. The cheese enchilada was likewisedelicious. The cheese was some of best I've ever jad in an enchilada. The moldè sauce had a hint of cocoa and was verygood. My only disappointment was the salsa. It was very think and tasted like tomato juice. It lacked any flavor other thanthat of tomatoes. However, since everything else was so good, it's not a deal killer. Service was great and plenty ofatmosphere. Go there, you will get your money's worth
