This charming restaurant has a cozy, home-like atmosphere that brings to mind the Greek-run diners found in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. There's something about the experience that elevates the flavors, especially when the food is served on an oval plate. View all feedback.
What Cathryn Stark doesn't like about Benetis:
First, my sister ordered sprite and had to order a different drink because it taste like seltzer water not sprite. From there we both ordered chicken and waffles with a side of potatoes and bacon. The potatoes were good, the bacon wasn’t what I imagined as you can see in the picture. The waffles were inedible because of the flavorless syrup. I asked for a side of ranch and was charged $1 without being notified. After... View all feedback.
Nice dinner. benetis athena is a restaurant near the 55. it has Greek and Mediterranean cuisine. I asked for the gyro and souvlaki platter (a generous part of lamb and bark strips and huh served with Greek salat, tzatziki sauce and pita) for lunch. for me it was abundant and tasty. one of the things I appreciate most is the possibility to eat outside, at this place, they can. a good option, in durham. I'm coming back to this restaurant.
I ate here for the first time today and it was so amazing! they have a 98 sanitary rating, great staff and delicious food. I will definitely go back!
Benetis is my favorite place in south durham to the breakfast. they have a very clean, spacious and comfortable dining room, an excellent service and a fantastic kitchen. I was a little sceptical that I first came in because I am not really in the Mediterranean cuisine. While they have a few Greek escapes, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the amount of the menu offers standard america evening. if you are looking for a delicious food in a clean and comfortable environment, don't hesitate to come to benetis! it is a hidden gem!
One of the best breakfasts we've ever had! menu has extensive selection. the omelets are fluffy, loaded with objects and perfectly cooked. the French toast was excellent! the restaurant and the bathroom are very clean. pink was our waitress and she was super friendly and efficient to make sure everything was perfect and it was certainly a perfect visit!
What a hidden gem! The omelettes here are fantastic, featuring both Mexican and Greek influences alongside classic American options. I forgot to request no hollandaise sauce, but they kindly offered to remake it without me asking. I highly recommend this place – we will definitely be returning!
