What User doesn't like about Tatso Buffet Sibaya:
Lots of promise but failed to deliver in my view. Apart from the deserts, the food was of poor quality. Bread rolls were stale and hard. Items from the grill are poorly cooked. Soda fountain available that’s included in the cost of the buffet. The deserts were nice. There’s a soft serve ice cream machine which was really nice. Staff are very helpful though. Understandably so, you are not allowed to help yourself at t... View all feedback.
Absolute worst experience of out of home dining ever! GRAVELY disappointed. We went out to celebrate my husband's milestone birthday. I will get straight to the point. The mutton curry felt like we were eating a plate of bones and fat. Also, completely tasteless and left a bad taste in the mouth. There was no service at the grill area. The lady removed the basket that housed the rolls and was most definitely not in a hurry to return with a fresh supply. The bain-marie's were left standing EMPTY whilst diners waiting with plates in hand. Potato salad was finished, and no replenishment. There were loads of green salads, beetroot, which is a bit surprising given the weather, and no one hardly even touched these platters. There should have been some sense check over an option of warm roasted veggies as well surely? My sons did enjoy the pizza which they said was tasty and fresh, but one does not spend that kind of money to eat pizza, I don't think. The roasted butternut option was most definitely a highly sought after option, but sadly the supply was minimal. Then they placed a loud party of like 6/7 ladies, right in front of us, which caused terrible traffic congestion. The ladies dress code left much to be desired and I was quite surprised that they were actually allowed into the venue. Then the malva pudding was horribly presented. I actually don't want to go on. What started out to be one of the most memorable occasions for my family, turned out to be horrible. We did not leave, because at that rate we were charged, we had to tolerate and bear the inconvenience. I will never set foot in that restaurant again, nor will I recommend it any of my family or friends. A trip to my local KFC would have served my needs better. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
Been here twice with the family and received good service on both occasions. The only gripes would be that food options have decreased and food is not replenished timeously. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: R 200–250 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
Huge disappointment, in every aspect. I will never waste my hard earned money at this place again, and warn anyone else to avoid. Miss the previous ownership. Menu reduced and below average, chicken pieces covered in feathers, serving staff not friendly and display irritation to patrons. Eating area was not clean, tables were not cleared of old dishes, even when asked. There is so much more to complain about! Disappointed! Not too sure why this place has so many bad reviews . I was fully hesitant before coming through because of the bad reviews but I’m so glad I went through because it was a great time . Took a party of 6 for dinner and the buffet had a small-ish selection but really delicious and more than satisfying . Really warm atmosphere, beautiful decor and welcoming staff . Would absolutely come back again , well worth the money (R275) .
