Great music the night we went. Gentleman with guitar playing all our old school rock music. He’s amazing! . Excellent atmosphere and burgers were delicious. We really enjoyed this place and we had good service and drinks were also good. View all feedback.
What Jeff Rosell doesn't like about The Office Spiritorium:
Seemed like a fun place to get a drink, until I asked the bartender about the whiskey drinks. He recommended one of the two drinks on the menu, but then told me they didn’t have one of the ingredients. Didn’t have much else to say and walked off. We then went around the corner to the Oxford for a fantastic drink. View all feedback.
A great historic spot to go hang out, live music is awesome.
Had dinner here Saturday night. One of the worst customer service experiences I've had in many years. The young woman who was my server (I think), would not engage me, I had to flag her down each time I wanted to order a drink, appetizer, or meal. The expediter brought out an appetizer I didn't order, and forgot my drink order. When the appetizer I did order was brought out, no napkins or utensils were brought to my table. The lady bartender came by and I asked her for napkins utensils, and she blamed the server for not doing her job and threw some paper napkins down on the table. I finally got the diner I ordered and the bill after flagging down the server one final time. The food and drinks were alright, but the whole experience wasn't good. If you're in Durango down on Main, there are several other places to eat in this price range within walking distance you might try 1st. I think i would have gotten treated better at McDonald's.
Upon a time, there were two competent bartenders behind the bar, making craft cocktails and pouring interesting beers. (Wine has always been a commodity product. Local solo guitarists lent Western folk ambience. Yesterday's crooner, in contrast, amplified so that conversation was no longer possible. The quality of musicianship did not make up for the loss. Our server was also the bartender, which was offered as a reason why the second glass of water (there were two people, one glass took 30 minutes to arrive, and the second drink a few minutes more. The fact she was over stretched does not elicit sympathy or forgiveness like other, I was there for good drinks, good food, good service and good music, none of which we got. Ferrell, the busy bartender/server had a difficult personality too. She delivered pronouncements of what we could not do (order Calamari, which was only served next door used to do that all the time, and there's only one kitchen so what? (order from the happy hour menu, finally delivered to us after 45 minutes, 3 minutes before the happy hour closed . She apologized for slow drinks/slow food. Not a person I would care to encounter again. Now for the food: It's not the menu posted on line at the time of this writing. Instead, it is about 70% items which pass through the deep fryer: wings, potato nachos (sitting on fried potatoes , fries, onion rings, sweet potato fries, fried bacon fig bon bons your basic heart attack food. The hamburger was straight off the Sysco truck, cooked and presented competently. The location and idea of the place is solid but the execution and staffing a joke. Stay away. The place used to be crowded I think the word is getting out.
Love the staff here. They are always happy to see us and are always helpful, friendly and attentive.
We went here all three nights we were in Durango. The first night was excellent. There was a woman bartender who clearly loved her job. She made a great old fashioned and Irish Coffee; and the music was also good. The next night, a guy on ukulele was doing his best; my wife orders an Irish Coffee again, but when the bartender brings it she apologizes they are out of whipped cream. Ugh. So we try again tonight. No music, and we sit upstairs for the first time, only to discover they ignore you upstairs. So I finally go downstairs to get our drinks and the bartender serves my Bulleit rocks cloudy. I asked what that was and he said he accidentally spilled some Baileys in it. Really?!
