He was pleasa... read more The only server/bartender on shift when we were there did the absolute best he could. However, there should have been AT LEAST 2 other servers on. He was pleasant, kept track of so many things! Very impressive! The food was really good; there was an error of fries vs. soup with my husband’s order, but as hard as the server was working, it wasn’t a big deal. I would recommend this place; hopefully there are more employees working normally.

When discussed with the bar manager she was snide and disrespectful. I was told it comes from a vat of grease and you 're the only one who 's complaining. When I explained that I thought maybe it had not had time to sit and let the grease dip off, her response was I already comped your meal. That verbage was less than my idea of customer centered and definitely not expected during a 1st visit on an establishment that came so highly recommended. Sure my meal was comped but I would have preferred the option to have my meal prepped again as I had requested with the deep fryer basket having time to allow time to drop that extra oil off. Utter disappointment

The burgers were simple but had wonderful flavor! Place was clean and dispite the one bartender getting a little busy, he did a great job! Top 10 favorite places to eat in our area! The food was awesome, and we got great service even though I’m pretty sure the guy was the only server on and had at least 8 tables. Between the 3 of us we tried the chicken bacon wrap, gyro wrap, bacon cheeseburger, sweet potato fries, and chicken wild rice soup. All fantastic. The only small complaint we had was that it was pretty chilly. Probably to be expected with the big windows, garage door, and cement walls.

The bartender also served as the waiter for about 8-9 tables, but the service was quick and we were in and out in about an hour. Three of us ordered the cod fish fry and it was excellent, served hot. The other friend enjoyed a taco salad. The restaurant had a decent selection of beers, but could use an IPA on tap. The bartender was working hard, but we still received excellent service. Overall, we were satisfied with the casual bar dining experience and would definitely return again.

The... read more My crew and I were in Durand, WI for work. We looked online for food, found the Cell Block menu, called in an order for lunch. I ordered the shrimp basket. The online menu we looked at says the shrimp basket is served with with fries and Texas toast for $8. That is what I ordered. When we arrived at the restaurant, the bartender gave us a paper menu. We told him we had called in and order and he got us the bill for our order. The receipt showed an $11 charge for the shrimp. The online menu says the price for the shrimp basket is $8 (with the fries and toast). I decided to look at the paper menu and discovered the paper menu price for the shrimp said $10 (fries and Texas toast NOT included). I asked to talk with a manager and a lady came of of the kitchen. She got angry when I complained about being charged $11 when the online price is $8 and the paper menu price said $10. Me and my crew were not impressed with the food. Just okay, nothing special here. Will gladly seek different options in the future.
