The fish was not oily or gr... read more Went with friends and had the Friday fish fry. Three large pieces of fish, cooked perfectly hot, flaky, light, but flavorful batter. The fish was not oily or greasy. Large portion of French fries, a roll and Cole slaw. My friends had two pieces of fish, only, and one trip to the salad bar. A better carb option. One said the chicken wild rice soup was very good. Great atmosphere more Northwoods than I expected. Very roomy and even though it was at about one half capacity, it was not noisy; easy to have a conversation. Service was solid; not stellar but no complaints. Look forward to returning next I am in the area. Had fish as take out in June. It was good, but clearly better directly from the kitchen and not over steamed from the take out container.

He was pleasa... read more The only server/bartender on shift when we were there did the absolute best he could. However, there should have been AT LEAST 2 other servers on. He was pleasant, kept track of so many things! Very impressive! The food was really good; there was an error of fries vs. soup with my husband’s order, but as hard as the server was working, it wasn’t a big deal. I would recommend this place; hopefully there are more employees working normally.

Patty the owner is usually around if your from out of town she's lived in the area her whole life and is always willing to help with directions and advise .
