Nice old time pub ambience, service quick and polite. Menu gave enough options and they can deal with food allergies. Not rushed either to clear the tables. Well done. View all feedback.
What User dislikes about The Travellers Rest Dunstable:
we were advised when we arrived that they had delivery problems and therefore had only one frying available, or steak or chicken cake. we decided to stay, the starter was not bad, my slowly cooked pork was the worst fried I had. it was served with a whole carrot cut length! the black bauch was made with a fat layer that was not even made, the meat and fat measured about 4 in’s by 3 ins and was about 3/4 inches thick.... Excellent service and good food. especially the desert staff is very friendly and happy and friendly. recommend this restaurant. will be definitiw back
We turned up at the pub for our meal which we were really looking forward to it : As we parked up all the lights went out and there was total darkness. I rang the pub several times from the car park and got no answer. I really couldn't work out what was going off. I ended up booking another table somewhere else so my husband and I could eat. I left a message at The Travellers Rest to say if they were having problems I thought it a bit rude that they hadn't taken the time to call their customers that had booked a table to let them know what was happening. We arrived at the next place where we managed to get a table, whilst we were waiting I got a phone call from The Travellers Rest to let me know that the reason the pub was in darkness was that they'd had a power cut and the only reason I got a phone call to let me know was because I had left the voicemail asking what was going on. Unfortunately it also meant that the voucher I had for that night expired before I can get over that way again.

The food was good, but we had a long wait for it to appear. The restaurant was very busy so advise going early or later than 1.00pm for lunch. The refurbishment is attractive and welcoming and the staff were very cheerful and helpfu;i.
Fantastic food and great service. Highly recommend a visit. Can't believe how good it was. Can't fault them at all. Top marks all around.
