Shhhhhhh! This is a little slice of heaven. We ate at the restaurant and it was delicious. The patio was so cute and they served ice-cold beer and fantastic burgers! Kathleen was a super server and we enjoyed our time there! The historic train in the back is a sight to see as well as the individual train cars that you can stay in at the lodge. We didn't stay, but we will go back to experience that as well. A must-do... View all feedback.
This place has everything I love! Incredible wait staff in the dining car thank you Azalea! Pet friendly patio and the Beet Salad was so delicious ! Plus trains in a very picturesque woodsy mountainous campground location. Views all around, fresh raspberries and a stream nearby! Loved it!!
We enjoyed our camp site a lot. The restrooms were clean and well kept. The restaurant was great and the service there was great as well. However, they didn’t let us know a gratuity was included in the meal before we dined. Not a big deal, and they deserve all it, but keep that in mind, because we almost paid 40% gratuity with that included gratuity before we noticed. They also do not split checks so I recommend bringing cash if you’re needing to split the bill amongst yourselves. The gift shop was disappointing, but only because of the service. They had so much cute stuff and most of it was reasonably priced. We picked a couple of things we liked including a magnet we loved for $14.95. However when the girl scanned it, it rang up as $16.95. I said “hey this says $16.95 but the price on the magnet is $14.95.” She said “it’s $16.95” and I showed her the back of the magnet that she had just scanned with the price showing $14.95. She replied (rudely) “well it’s $16.95. Do you still want it?” I’m sorry, what? I’ve never seen a store that would not honor the price that is advertised. Several of the magnets read $14.95 WITH the UPC that scans the item. Just beware that when you’re seeing a price, it may not be the actual price that rings up. editing from 4 stars to 5 because they responded to the review and offered to make the moment right for us. It was never about the $2, but about the overall attitude/ response from the employee. Thank you RR Park for your willingness to make it right.
Hot location bit super fun, clean place to stay. The train cars are awesome and there is a nice pool and playground. The restaurant is also good and frequently has really great live music

This unique location features historic train cars for guests to stay in as well as a clean, well-maintained campground. The restaurant is a series of dining cars conveniently located on-site. Big trees provide shade and beauty, and you look up to the scenic Castle Crags. It is accessible without the freeway noise. Snow in winter, and sun and swimming pool in summer. A fun resort.
