What Gary Lee doesn't like about Front Porch Pie:
First time eating here and it will be the last.Everything on the plate was cold toast was rock hard with butter that wasn’t close to melting.Potatoes were rock hard and cold little squares that I’ve never seen before.Eggs were cold and under cooked.Best part of it was the coffee and the ice water.Service was snail slow and it wasn’t busy at all. Then again I can understand why this place wouldn’t be busy View all feedback.
We were in the area diving at Rainbow River Springs and decided to stop in for lunch. The restaurant has a wonderfully cozy atmosphere with a charming small-town, rustic feel that you'd expect from a local diner. I was pleasantly surprised by the delicious burger that was cooked to perfection. We also sampled several of the pies, and they were all fantastic. I really enjoyed the overall vibe and the excellent service. This place is definitely worth a visit!
The food here is incredible! It feels just like home-cooked meals. The pies are absolutely fantastic, and the fried pickles are a must-try as well. I highly recommend giving this local spot a visit!
The atmosphere is wonderful for a family outing in the country. Our server, Amanda B 275, was fantastic—she frequently checked on us and ensured our drinks were always full. Although the place was busy, it didn’t feel overcrowded. The food was fresh and delicious, and the pie was simply amazing! We will definitely be returning!
The food was all right, the country fried steak with the sausage gravy was really good, the home fries were so so, and the eggs were cooked to perfection. The Omelette with the toppings was really full and really good. The thing that really dropped thescore was the service was super slow and they didn't seem to have a pep in the step.
Drove over an hour just to have lunch here- it is that good! This was my second visit here and it was just as good as the first. Today I had the Spanish chicken and rice special- it was outstanding! I absolutely love the French fries and the onion rings areperfectly done. It seems like fresh home coming (and I'm hoping it is) and it's all reasonably priced. Waitstaff is friendly andthey are constantly hustling. The restaurant itself is very charming. Of course, the best part (in my opinion)... the pies! Between my two visits, I've had or sampled 5 and they were all amazing. My favorite so far is the chocolate peanut butter. I wasalso happy to see a strawberry rhubarb pie on the menu. Not a pie you often find on a menu- and it was delicious. This place isdefinitely worth the hour plus drive.
