I'm not sure how so many people are giving this place high marks—maybe it's just friends and family? I really hope the owner takes this review to heart. First of all, there's absolutely no need to serve that many French fries with any dish. It's better to focus on quality rather than quantity. I'm not sure what the intention is behind serving so many fries, but it just feels excessive. Maybe they could consider serving smaller portions to make the plate look fuller. Also, it seems that the kitchen staff here doesn’t wear gloves, which is quite concerning, especially in a small establishment. There were no gloves or handwashing observed when raw burgers were being handled alongside cooked food. The burger itself was nothing special—just average at best. The bartender, who I believe is the owner's wife, seemed more focused on her meal than on refilling drinks. And what’s up with the basement storage access being through the men's restroom? That’s just odd. Overall, I was not impressed and I won’t be returning or recommending this place. **Update 8/3/24:** Thank you for your rude and unprofessional response; I didn’t expect anything less. Mentioning bleach as a cleaning agent that "takes the skin off" is not reassuring—definitely not something I want my food prepared on. Just to clarify, gloves are required when handling any prepared food. Yes, you own a restaurant, so maybe you should be aware of that. I must say, the Lackawanna County Health Department seems to have very lax regulations, which is a health hazard waiting to happen. It's unfortunate that you've chosen not to remodel your building because believe it or not, improvements are possible! And while I did enjoy three beers, my drink sat empty for a while while your wife was eating. To top it off, she mistakenly added someone else's Corona to my tab and then cashed me out before attempting to refund it—hopefully that gets sorted out. Best of luck with your unprofessional, unethical, and unsanitary business. People can eat anywhere, including in the comfort of their homes. Your establishment simply isn’t worth visiting. By the way, tell your kitchen staff they can thank me for the drinks. I came in hoping to enjoy a good burger, but I always provide an honest review based on my experiences. Clearly, my comments struck a nerve and you seem unable to accept constructive criticism. I wouldn’t be surprised if you drive a big truck to compensate just like you do with your French fries—it just doesn’t work! I took a screenshot of your response in case you try to change it later; I know how that goes. Good luck going forward!
