What Sue Bunch doesn't like about Glass Capital Grill:
Took 10 min for waitress to come, about 10 people sitting talking drinking coffee. One couple got waited on. Waitress kept going to table. Got to order finally, she said she'd be back with coffee when she got there had to ask for creamer. When we got food mine was not hot just warm and dry. Had asked for jelly got none asked again 10 min later got it. Had eaten 1 third of food. No refill on coffee had to wave her dow... View all feedback.
My husband and I arrived at 5:15 pm. We were the first ones there for dinner. Waitress was very attentive when we got there. Ordered drinks a coke and a **** Mary. My husband got his coke and I was told after a 1/2 wait for my **** Mary that the bartender was running late so it would be a little longer getting my **** Mary. I did receive a glass of ice water, to drink till I got my **** Mary. We were told the steak for the evening was prime rib and sirloin. My husband ordered sirloin wanted salad but we were told they were out of lettuce so no salads, french fries, and baked beans. I ordered prime rib , cheese potatoes, corn. I got my first **** Mary after about 1 hour of sitting there. The waitress came and told us after about 1 hour that the steak for today was New York strip instead of what we ordered. We said that’s fine. While we were sitting there waiting we watched other people order salads so I asked what the deal was because we were told there was not any lettuce to make salads, so the waitress brought my husband a salad because that is what he wanted for 1 of his sides. When our food arrived to our table my husbands French fries were burnt, the baked beans were cold, but I will say the steak was very good. My steak was good but I ordered cheese potatoes and got Mac and cheese instead, waitress said they were out of cheese potatoes so they substituted the Mac and cheese for my potatoes without even asking me if I wanted something else on the sides list. Needless to say I had heard this was a really great place to eat so this was our first and I must say last time that we will ever eat here again. Very mismanaged and unprofessional. Good steak but that is all I can say!

Made a 45 minute drive to give this place a try as we had heard good things. It was terribly cold inside, maybe they were having issues with the HVAC. Arrived right at opening time for dinner, sat down and the table and chairs were very dirty, crumbs on everything. Asked for a drink menu, was told they don't have a beer menu, but she brought a mixed drink menu that was in really bad shape, a dirty wrinkled paper. Waiter apologized and said they only had one copy lol. Must not be any copiers in Dunkirk. Began ordering and was told that they were getting new menus soon so the prices on the menu aren't right. Cheese curds were $3 more than listed and she said most other things were only $1 more. Tenderloin turned out to be $2 higher. Advertising inaccurate prices didn't sit well with us. Most restaurants put tape over the price and update it, so that you can at least see what you are actually paying. The food was pretty good. Mashed potatoes were delicious. Seasoned better than any I've had, although they were luke warm at best. Other food items were pretty good too, nothing was hot enough though and portions were nice. Service was better than average, although she waited 15 minutes after giving us a to go box to come and ask if we would like the check lol. Maybe the manager is new in the food business, but with a little time this could be a great destination restaurant.
Way too expensive! For a small town the prices added up quick. For two people, getting 2 burgers (with fries and slaw), an artichoke dip appetizer (which was a big helping of chips with a small dish of dip), and what we though were two sodas (turns out you get charged for refills, so 3 sodas), and tip, it came to just under $55. I could have gotten much better food somewhere else for that money!! The only plus was that the people were nice.
The food was lovely, it's a very nice place. I can't wait for warm weather to enjoy the patio.Food: 5/5
