I really like the atmosphere: you sometimes see her children there, which gives it a real family feel. You can tell it's not a chain, but a restaurant run with heart, and that makes all the difference.

The miso soup is much b... read more Tokyo is, by far, the best Japanese restaurant in Dunkirk. I particularly recommend the sushi, maki, gyoza, and stir-fried udon noodles. The miso soup is much better than average. I've been eating there regularly for over five years and have never been disappointed. The menu is varied (but clearly homemade), which makes it easy to invite friends who aren't into Japanese cuisine like sushi/maki. Plus, the restaurant offers free home delivery for orders over €20. I highly recommend this place!

You can tell the fried rice is homemade. They could improve the overall atmosphere, I think; some background music would be great! In short, I highly recommend it, don't hesitate!
