Description

The Bank Hotel offers a mixed experience, with some patrons praising its generous portions, excellent wine selection, and the comfort of its accommodations. Guests enjoy the stunning views from the upstairs verandah and the delightful bistro options. However, others report negative interactions with staff, citing rudeness and a lack of helpfulness, particularly from bartenders. While the dining and recreational facilities are noted positively, the inconsistent service has left some visitors feeling unwelcome. Overall, The Bank Hotel presents a blend of commendable offerings alongside areas needing improvement, making it a compelling yet polarizing destination.

What a wonderful lunch experience! For the second time, we were not disappointed. This place definitely offers the best value for your money. The portions are generous, and the wine selection is excellent for a great meal. The location is also fantastic. Overall, it was just delightful!

We visited the pub for a nice lunch, but unfortunately, we left feeling very disappointed due to the rude treatment we received from the bartender. We were told that we needed a mobile phone to check in, even though we had a family member who could help us. Additionally, when I asked for assistance with a gaming machine, I was met with an unhelpful response about luck. Overall, our experience was quite negative.

Great mountain bike ride with christian clark on the new bank hotel rent bikes! These e-bikes are very impressive, bombard the hills and fly right up for another run in minutes. after a beer and a burger in the bankhotel I am sure I will be back!

I recently stayed here with my employees several times over a couple of weeks and have never ever had just an unwelcome experience! The bartenders were unbelievably rude with absolutely no personality , especially so the big guy with painted nails. We spent a lot of money during our stay and try as we might to be friendly we were treated like lepers! Worst pub in Australia

The Bank has great public and lounge bars and a very good bistro. Guests can retire to the upstairs verandah with its great views of Dungog and surrounding countryside. The Bank makes an excellent base for day-touring the Hunter and nearby National Parks and State Forests.
