I order... read more I recently visited Meades cafe with my husband and elderly mother for a day out. We ended up getting takeout as there was no disabled parking available. I ordered a small latte, which was served in a white cup. As a Dublin resident, I usually pay €1.50-€2 for this drink. However, despite reminding the server of my order, I was charged €3.45, with the comment that "a latte is a latte". The coffee, cupcake, eclair, and caramel square were just average. The cafe seemed disorganized and the staff were not the friendliest. I would recommend avoiding this place. Unfortunately, it is a prime example of the overpricing that is becoming common in Ireland.

The service is not the best and I'm not comfortable with the cursory table cleans. Its a bit cramped and unfortunately the toilet is awful. But for me you go to a coffee shop for good coffee, and I've lost the number of times I've (involuntarily) been in Meads but the coffee is always bad. As in I can't drink it. If you don't drink coffee, absolutely go there; it has a lot to recommend it

Although the service was a bit slow because there was only one girl working and making all the sandwiches during lunchtime, the experience overall was fantastic and highly recommended.

Nice cafe with pleasant atmosphere, good coffee and scones.
