Reviews - Shell
Reviews summary
Nestled within a petrol station, this restaurant has drawn mixed reactions from visitors. While some patrons rave about the delicious food and excellent customer service, particularly praising the hot chips and creative dishes like potato scallops topped with cheese and bacon, others report serious cleanliness issues and overpriced, underwhelming portions. Experiences range from delightful encounters with attentive staff and tasty meals to disappointing visits marked by stale food or inadequate hygiene standards. Despite the charm of friendly service and varied menu offerings, the inconsistency in quality raises questions about its overall reliability as a dining destination.
Was Anonym at Shell a mag?
On ANZAC Day, my journey started from Dubbo to Brisbane. I enjoyed some great food and coffee, and the staff were wonderful. They even provided local tips about seeing kangaroos! View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Shell:
On a cold day, I paid $9 for what was advertised as a "big" portion of chips. What I received was a small plate that was only half full. The chips were fine, and the woman who served me at the counter was nice, but overall, I felt disappointed. I probably wouldn't recommend it. View all feedback.

Excellent service from the woman at the counter; she makes a fantastic coffee and serves delicious food!
I had an amazing experience at the restaurant tonight, thanks to the attentive and friendly young man at the counter, even though it was quite late. I sampled the hot chips with chicken salt, and I can honestly say they are the best chips I've had in a long time!

We stopped at 7:30 a.m. to refuel and bought a kebab dog and two chicken kebabs for $17. Unfortunately, the kebabs were dry and hard, making them completely inedible. It was truly disappointing. To make matters worse, I was charged $2.99 each for two chocolates that were supposed to be 2 for $4. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience.

This place needs a health inspector go through it, it's disgusting... dirty floors, dust everywhere, mice running around in front of you.. even in the toilets, spiders hanging from the ceiling and not to mention the smell as soon as you walk in, it's revolting there's no excuse for lazyness... 2/5/2021 was our visit date
