I had minestrone soup follo... read more The service was fab and the restaurant itself very cosy. Unfortunately, though, we won’t be going back there due solely to the food. I had minestrone soup followed by lasagne and side salad. I am not a fussy eater but the minestrone soup was a disappointment and the lasagne didn’t resemble or taste anything like lasagne and lasagne is what I generally get in every Italian restaurant I visit .My husband had the mussels followed by venison tagliatelle. He thought the mussels were very good , but the tagliatelle was disappointing . Pity, as we were so looking forward to it . (We were the only ones in the restaurant from when we arrived at 7.30pm until we left ,but apparently a party of people had just left when we arrived .

Was late in booking this for a Friday but the girl I spoke to did her very best to get us in, and we were willing to wait as they did get us in, Thank you. Food/drinks was really good and prices very fair. My steak was lovely cooked to my liking too which is rare to get it so close, thank you chef!! Meal was made even better by the lovely service of the girls that were looking after us. Lovely setting and busy evening for them, well done.Thank you for a very lovely evening, will be booking again and letting others know to come here. Once again thank you for a very lovely meal/evening.

Despite this, the... read more The food was delicious, but two of us ordered a vegan dish that was supposed to have artichoke hearts and olives, but they were not included. Despite this, the dish was still very good. The vegan chocolate mousse was on the menu, but unfortunately, it was not available. It would have been a 4-star rating, but we were unable to have affogato as the coffee machine was broken. However, the serving staff were excellent; they were quick, polite, smiling, and helpful.

We had a lovely meal, starting with delicious Arancini and Rigatoni with spicy sausage, and finishing with Afogato. We also enjoyed a very nice bottle of reasonably priced Italian wine, coffee, and a Limoncello digestif. The staff were attentive and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place and look forward to going back with my Italian partner next time!
