The food is good, though somewhat expensive. It’s a place I’d visit occasionally rather than regularly, perfect for a special treat.

The menu included options such as h... read more Carrickdale served a traditional Sunday dinner featuring meat accompanied by two sides, stuffing, gravy, and roast potatoes. The menu included options such as ham, beef, turkey, battered chicken with chili sauce, and salmon. I opted for the beef and ham, both perfectly cooked and delicious. Although the meal didn't include extras like Yorkshire puddings or pepper sauce, it captured the warm, homemade feel of a classic Sunday roast. Instead of stuffing, gravy, and roast potatoes, I chose cabbage, mashed potatoes, and a medley of carrots and parsnips. The English mustard was a bit difficult to open and, regrettably, wasn’t the well-known Colman’s brand. The rest of my family enjoyed the turkey and ham options. Cappuccinos were reasonably priced at €3.80 and were very enjoyable. The staff were friendly, and the overall meal represented great value, especially given the rising costs elsewhere.

The carvery... read more My partner, mother, and I celebrated my birthday at Carrickdale and had an amazing experience. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive. The carvery was as delicious as always, and the food was excellent. When my mother needed a little extra help, the staff were more than happy to assist. The roast meals were tender, flavorful, and served in generous portions that could easily feed two people. The warm and welcoming service really made our visit special. Overall, Carrickdale is a fantastic place with great food and outstanding service. I highly recommend it!
