El Palacio - Duncan

I've been eating here since I was a kid. I love their Chile Rellenos, queso, guacamole and unlimited chips and salsa! Go Sunday, there is a small buffet with enchiladas, rice, beans and all the stuff to make a big chalupa or taco, etc.!

The food is delicious, so we regularly order Takeout! I love the Chili Relleno and my husband likes the catfish. In our last experience, however, it seemed to be just a waitress, but there were about 6-8 tables with guests. We and those around us had to wait for our needs most meals. I've been a former server for 10 years so I can understand things are hectic. What meant and caused my husband's jaw drop was when we put in our meal order, we also ordered a meal to go. After we finished our meal and had waited for our ticket and ordering more than a reasonable time, the server came to us and asked if we were ready to provide the ToGo order. My husband and I looked at our minds. As a former server, I would have given up the order if I delivered the dune to the table in the kitchen, then I would have time to pack it with the time they are ready. Not after they were finished and had to wait a bit to go! Are you kidding? Finally, I would like to say that they need more employees who actually serve (three were at the host stand), and they must be trained in handling Togo orders placed by the dune in the guests.

The food was delicious, the staff was friendly and courteous, the restaurant was clean, and the prices were reasonable. I will, in any case, return and I recommend El Palacio!

Guacamole salad was great! Always the best chili relleno!
