Service was excellent and prices were fair. Food was well prepared and presented as I expected. Menu options are many. Food quality was also very good but one must remember that this is southern OK. If you are from Austin or farther south, the spice and flavor will be below the norm for you. However, if you are in the Stephens Co Oklahoma area and craving TexMex, try them. View all feedback.
What Bryant Lizzie doesn't like about El Campesino Mexican:
Ummm the pics look better than the taste. The chips and salsa tasted fermented and the cheese was jello consistency. when I tell you this place is over priced for the quality I mean it. It’s just not good Mexican food. All the sauces taste like it’s from a can. I. Was just over all disappointed and paid almost 30$ for 2 plates and water only. NEVER AGAIN WILL I EAT HERE Meal type: Dinner View all feedback.
**Service:** Dine-in **Meal Type:** Lunch **Price per person:** $10–20 **Food:** 5/5 **Service:** 4/5 **Atmosphere:** 4/5
The food was quite bland, lacking seasoning apart from the salsa, which was excessively peppery. The queso tasted like it came straight from a can. Overall, I would rate the food a 2, the service a 2, and the atmosphere a 3.
The photos of this restaurant look much better than the actual food. The chips and salsa had a fermented taste, and the cheese had a jello-like consistency. I genuinely believe this place is overpriced for the quality it offers. The Mexican food just isn't good; all the sauces tasted like they came from a can. Overall, I was quite disappointed, especially considering I paid nearly $30 for just two plates and water. I won't be eating here again. Meal type: Dinner
