Applebee's - Duncan

This Applebee’s was once my favorite place to eat in Duncan, but in the last few months I have seen it slow down. There were nights when I emigrated and they were not very busy, but there were no hosts in sight. I was served lukewarm food and unfresh tasting drinks. I was even very rudely spoken by the staff, but the absolutely worst experience I had was the youngest and honest probably my last visit to the Duncan Applebee. I came with one. Group of friends (6 of us total). We were 1 out of 5 tables in the entire restaurant with at least 3 servers on the staff. We had a server that took our drinks orders and complained about how they had cut work, but could not because we were there. Only half of our table was given menus, and 20 minutes later, when we finally got our drinks, another server took two of our orders and just went away. After about 45 minutes waiting time, we decided to leave at which point the two commands came and the server was angry with the fact that we were gone. I stayed after all had gone to discuss the bill (I did not want to pay after the terrible service. We didn't even get the chance to eat food). Our server sat down with me and asked me what went wrong. I told her it was the worst service I ever had. I used to work in food services, I understand that sometimes it's not easy, but that's not an excuse. As a food facility, your top priority should be to give the customer the best experience they have ever had. It is very disturbing to see the lack of effort in this place. I don't believe in excuses. If you're kidding, do it right. Some customers can be frustrating. This does not mean that you should be a frustrating server. As it hurts me to publish this review, I feel as if I have to inform the community. Whether this place needs different servers, or another administration overall, they need to find out. I can't imagine that this Applebee is holding around for a long time with the new reputation they deserve for themselves. Duncan Applebee’s, get help.
