Owner was very welcoming on a wet afternoon, our quite excited Springer spaniel was made to feel v welcome, as were we! The food was really great, freshly made and very tasty! Cakes also went down a treat! View all feedback.
What hotcomper doesn't like about Brambles:
We stayed in Dalbeattie for a week and visited the Brambles Cafe twice. Monday was extremely busy and the food did take time. There are signs explaining that the food is cooked fresh so there could be a wait. Staff were very apologetic for delay.... View all feedback.
Fantastic wee cafe, food was fantastic, the staff were friendly and warm, and your able to sit inside or outside. Will definitely be going back. A hidden gem for sure.
Loved both our visits to Brambles while having a week's self-catering holiday in Dalbeattie. Went for lunch mid-week, and then again for breakfast on our last day. Both times the food was amazing and staff so friendly, nothing too much trouble. Even the dog loved it!! (Dog biscuits!! Lemon meringue pie to be recommended particularly!!
What’s find! We parked in the car park and walked 30 seconds to the cafe which feels like it’s nestled in the middle of a woods. This wholesome cafe serves everything you would want from panini’s, toasties, soup and sandwich combos and sweet treats. We had the Big breakfast which gives you everything on one plate! (Just check out the photo! The food was excellent and complimented by the wonderful, friendly staff. What a team! Ensured we had everything we needed and answered any of our questions. They have a great knowledge of the area of your after any advice too. The chickens in the courtyard and ducks in the pond made for such a cute quaint atmosphere. We are talking away some sweet treats, so worth nothing you can do this if your feeling full from your savoury. You have to give this place a try, it’s unspoilt location, fab staff and awesome food get a 10/10 from us!
One of the best breakfasts I've had! The produce of every bit on our plate was delicious, such a cute little place, I even left with homemade chutney, beetroot and ginger beer, from the little stall outside which helps feed the chickens. The staff are so lovely and friendly, will definitely be back the next time we visit the area.
A must visit venue whenever we are in the area. Warm welcome, the best breakfast north of the border and plenty of biscuits for our two Westies marvellous!
