sat on East Sunday and there was a huge hate that gave the children Easter. the food was very delicious and well prepared, but we were disappointed to find that the baguettes were contained in large clear plastic containers and the takeaway coffee... was costa with non-recycleable dishes. the waste containers were also stacked with mixed waste. should a animal and land visitors centre be more environmentally friendly... What Karl Jackson doesn't like about At Kirroughtree Country House:
We went up to the hotel , long drive and it is really very posh ! This is the place to go for a really special dinner or if like us you like the country house atmosphere. Dress is not casual so you will have...to put your best bib and tucker on. There are two dining rooms one early bird and one a la carte. We were in the former but it is beautiful. Our waiter was smashing and the meal was very good unfortunately hard... View all feedback.
We stayed at the hotel for a few nights and enjoyed the dining experience. There wasn't a wide selection of choices, but we understood that it was the off-season when we booked. Despite the quiet atmosphere, we appreciated the wine list and the cozy feeling of the open fire. We had a lovely time sipping on a bottle of red wine by the fire. Overall, it was a very pleasant and cozy dining experience.

Evaluates separately in the hotel stay. set the menu for the occasion. eating, presentation and service were excellent. because this was a special, it is of little relevance for the usual hotel dinners.
For this special day to dinate the selkirk arms near, but it was booked with a waiting list. maybe another time? tried this place on the same day and the client treatment of email response to answer a special request, plus the...Grading, when we arrived, was top class. also the facility of the communal parts and the dining room was exceptional. table cloths and settings exactly right. the 3-course menu with coffee was £25 and, if it was £19, it would have had more than 6 for lunch this day. the choice of only 2 starters, 2 netzen and 2 desserts was a little limited, as another choice would have been perfect for everyone. we had the suppe and the terrain that were good. we also had the chicken breast [big part] and the filet of lachs [small part] all were good, except the butter beans with the lachs were hard and the wrong veggie for lachs. the vodka cheesecake was to die and was the best cure. coffee was terrible because it was lying around and stabbed? the waiter service was excellent and the environment was also very pleasant. beautiful place, but no atmosphere due to lack of diners/customers. reduce prices and they will get more people to eat. last critique is the price for wein through the glass at £6.75 if the same wein only £18.50 per bottle. the glass size was 175ml that they work out! would go back if more options were offered and the prices were 25% lower.
We enjoyed our visit here was great food and excellent service. Menu was decent and Ok priced but we enjoyed and we will be back and would recommend it.
