Friday evenings can be tough when trying to find a good restaurant without a long wait for a table. However, Samurai Ramen in Duluth is the perfect spot for those looking for delicious noodles or rice in a quiet setting. The menu is simple with pictures to help you choose, and the food is served quickly. Personally, I recommend the tonkotsu ramen for its amazing taste, but the chashu don rice dish is also a favorite... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Samurai Ramen:
Just retired and lived in Japan for 24 years. Wife is Japanese and we have been looking for a decent Ramen place since getting back. Ramen was dead on like eating back in Japan at a local mom and pop shop. We will be back! View all feedback.
Bruder, I wanted to ram by chance while we were on pleasant hill. on trusting yelp came this point! (the location is great when the parking space can sometimes be scarce.) eating was quite good, it is as they would expect from a typical smoker spot. it wasn't the best rug that I had ever lived in my life, but the rugs were not the last bit disappointing (the rolls were a little disappointing.) a thing that I wished was that they offered a greater selection of seasoning. I usually get the second spiciest my first time everything my daring brother gets the spiciest. however, the spiciest level of raming was somewhat underwhelming. I would expect what he had on level 3 (or 4) of 5th, but definitiw not the spiciest. this point would easily be a 5-star if the price was somewhat more reflective for the quality of food. eating is good, but definitiw overpriced. is it so overpriced that I would never visit again? Of course not, but I did not feel that we got what we paid for. also, they pay in front as they pay, so if they plan to leave a tipp, they do it when they pay (if they have money!)
First time coming here after hearing all the good things about it. I was very happy with dinner. Staff was friendly and helpful. He checked up on us to make sure everything was good. You come in and you order at the front desk, then you'll be given a number and food will be brought out to you. Food was delicious. My second favorite ramen place. I got tonkatsu ramen, very traditional just to see if the broth is good. Love love how tender the pork meat was. We also got Gyu Don and Chashu don. Both dishes were very good as well. Flavorful. Definitely coming back soon. The portions were enough and very filling.
This is a similar ramen place to Raku and Kumai in the area. The spicy Tonkatsu Ramen comes in multiple spice levels so it can be adjusted to your perfect level of spice. The Takoyaki is as traditional as it gets in terms of taste. The Chicken Karaage was crispy and tasty. The menu is so varied so anyone can find something they would like. The staff was helpful and quick. All in all, I would recommend this place if you want Japanese for a great value and casual lunch/dinner.
This was our first visit to the samurai ramen restaurant, and we liked the cozy and clean interior. You can order at the ordering place, and when you are seated, the food will be served. The manager, Sam, explained each dish and helped order. For 4 of us, we had Spicy Ton Katsu ramen, Ton Katsu ramen, Gyu don, Chashu bun, Salmon don, and Takoyaki. I like the Spicy Ton Katsu ramen because the broth is thick and spicy. The original version was also delicious because it was possible to savor the smoked flavor of Katsu in the thick broth. The salmon was fresh, and the texture was so good. Gyudon was served with seasoned rice, which was a protein and delicious. The Okonomiyaki was delicious and easy for children to eat, and the Chashu bun had a good texture with the Chashu with a rich sauce, cilantro, and a bun in harmony. Our first visit was, but we had a pleasant time with the neat interior, service, and delicious food. We highly recommend this ramen restaurant.
My husband and I visited a samurai ramen restaurant for the second time during our trip. Our first impressions were so good that we went back with high expectations. We ordered Shiho ramen, Spicy Ton Kotsu ramen, and Chicken Karaage. My husband, who doesn't eat spicy pork, ordered Shiho ramen, and the soup was clean and protein, so he ate half of the soup as soon as he started eating. The noodles are chewy and go well with the various toppings, so it didn't take long to eat a bowl. I ordered Spicy Ton Kotsu ramen, and it was thick and flavorful because the broth had been simmered for a long time. Chicken Karaage served as an appetizer was crispy, and the texture was pleasant while eating. It was our second visit, and this time it became a happy memory. It is highly recommended for those who are considering a visit.
