What K Mac doesn't like about Haru Ichiban:
The place was crowded when I arrived. Had a table in a smaller room with not much to look at. The menu is pretty large. I ordered the veggie tempura appetizer. It was cooked well and the batter was not gummy. The shrimp roll was pretty good yet sinceI'm not a fan of artificial crab it limits my choices to getting any others at that time. This place is an iconic Japanese spot on Pleasant Hill that everyone should try at least once. Hell, it’s even older than I am! Everything we tried was exceptional and flavorful from the shumai and takoyaki to our individual entrees. My only bad note was just that I wish the pork that came with the ramen was like other ramen places where it was more of a fatty cut and roasted before putting it in the ramen, but besid...
