A visit to this local favorite left some snowmobilers disappointed as the advertised hours had changed. Despite a rocky experience with slow service, Billy's Bar is praised for its handcrafted burgers, quality meat, and friendly staff. We stayed nearby to visit Duluth for a few days. A friend brought us here the first night for some drinks and dinner. I got the Caesar chicken wrap and fresh cut fries... delicious! We liked it so much we came back the following evening. The owner and staff are super friendly and welcoming. We will visit again. Service: Dine in

Really good food. I don’t eat burger buns so the quality of the meat is critical. They hand make the burger patties and they use quality beef. Additionally they hand cut the French fries. Nothing beat hand cut fries!
I was informed that we had to serve ourselves, which was unusual but I was okay with it. I used to come to this restaurant every Thursday, but I've decided to stop. Waiting two hours for three tacos is just too much. There was only one other person there, and the server seemed more interested in her phone and chatting with her friend at the bar. This is not the first time I've experienced this issue.
This bar is an amazing place just outside the city. The staff is extremely friendly, and the food is outstanding! The Steak Salad stood out as especially delicious.
