What User doesn't like about Black Woods Grill:
The restaurant's website promoted a vegan menu, however our server did not agree with this. They managed to make a shrimp salad vegan by simply excluding the shrimp, but I was still charged the full price. In the end, both my carnivorous dining partner and I were disappointed with the experience. View all feedback.
I had a great experience at this restaurant with its incredible atmosphere and excellent service. However, I deducted one star because the ribs were very dry and tough. I would recommend avoiding the ribs, but the Buffalo burger was delicious. Another must-try item are the stuffed tater tots.

Very nice service. Food was over cooked(shrimp) and old (walleye).
Honestly Meatloaf.....Nice portions...Great Gravy...VERY DELICIOUS. Mashed Potato...HOMEMADE w/lumps...the way it SHOULD be. Fresh Cornbread ....could be DESSERT on it's own. Blue Superior Martini....now I know why I DON'T drink these.
Loved this place back in college and visiting years later it is just as good. Great service and the steak was pretty dang good! The servers are very nice and do a great job of checking up on you, I would recommend this spot if you are looking for a bit nicer change of scenery.
