This restaurant has evolved over the years, but at the end of the day, it remains a reliable old school Korean BBQ spot that excels in traditional dishes. Their Galbijjim is especially delicious, offering both...
1. PARKING: Chung Dam is located next to HMart Plaza, so there is a large shared parking lot.
I have eaten at Chung Dam multiple times this year. The prices are a bit high, but the quality is always consistent. I have tried multiple soups and meat dishes, and the staff...
Our second visit was extremely disappointing. The first time we dined here was excellent, with great service and delicious food. However, this time we ordered only one meat instead of two, and the difference in the portions and sides offered was surprising. We were unable to cook the food at our table, which was understandable, but the amount of sides and dip sauce for a single meat order was much smaller (no dip at all). We were disappointed to find out that we had to order two meats to get steamed egg. Despite spending nearly $50 on a meat and seafood pancakes, we were unable to get the steamed egg. Additionally, we had to wait nearly ten minutes for the side dishes to be brought to our table from a cart only a few feet away. After the food was delivered, we did not see our server again and had to go to the reception to pay. Our expectations were high after our first visit, but we will not be returning to this restaurant.
I've been eating Korean food for over 30 years. I've had it homemade, across the world and this great nation. As Korean BBQ is finally becoming more and more popular I have even more chances now to check them all out. ;)This one located at the Super H Mart is really good. Lots of authentic flavors across their different dishes. What I loved the most was the variety of their sides, the free ones you get with your meals. These people had a larger and tastier variety of things to eat with the meat, etc.The service was SPOT on. I've been to several where the service tends to be so so since only so many waiters can cook at each table at the same time I can appreciate how hard it is.Atmosphere is well done, lots of private walled booths to enjoy.Parking is basically the Super H Mart parking lot so there is plenty.Would I go back? Absolutely!
