Our waitress was wonderful and attentive, which made a positive difference. The food was quite good, slightly more refined compared to other places we've visited. After reviewing their wine list, we decided to bring our own wine to complement the meal. We started with the fried green tomatoes, which were a great appetizer. For the main courses, we tried the rich gnocchi, the pork chop—which was quite tasty with a nice crust that paired well with our Pinot—and the tenderloin, which was very tender and well-prepared. Unfortunately, we were too full for dessert. We arrived about half an hour early to explore the area, which turned out to be a great decision. The parking lot was crowded, and it would have been difficult to find a spot later when we went to get the wine from the car.

The best fine dining experience in the Outer Banks! Service: A - We were seated quickly at 4:30 PM, and our waitress was both warm and knowledgeable. She was attentive to our needs, even providing a second plate for the dishes we shared. Ambiance: A - This restaurant avoids the typical tourist atmosphere. It features a dark, moody, and stylish decor, making it a refreshing escape from the bright sun, heat, and humidity outside. Food: A - I can't stop raving about the exceptional food! I had modest expectations, as I'm often disappointed by dining in vacation spots, but everything we tried was unique, delicious, and of the highest quality. Many dishes feature seasonal ingredients, so availability might vary. I highly recommend the strawberry salad, which was fantastic. The Caesar salad was also tasty, albeit less distinctive. The pork chop with blueberry sauce was outstanding, as were the jumbo lump crab cakes. My daughters ordered steak, which looked perfectly cooked. I appreciated the creative and delicious sides that exceeded my expectations. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough—be sure to make a reservation in advance!

Now, onto the food: I ordered the pork chop, and it was truly spectacular. I have a preference for pork over other meats, and I tend to order a pork chop whenever it's on the menu. I know that might seem unusual, but the pork chop can be quite unforgiving; it has to be well-prepared or it can be disappointing. This one didn’t disappoint, and I highly recommend it. Throughout our visit, our drinks were always topped off, making for an overall lovely dining experience.

We dove straight into our entrees, ordering the pork chop and the special of the night, a yellowfin tuna steak. Both dishes were outstanding. The tuna, served with pineapple, bacon, and soy-infused rice, was particularly impressive and incredibly rich in flavor. The pork chop had a beautifully thick, crusty sear that was packed with taste. It was a generous portion, so much so that I only managed to eat half before passing the rest to my husband to finish. For dessert, we had the pecan pie, which was more of a tart than a traditional pie. The pecan flavor was exactly as you would expect, complemented beautifully by bourbon ice cream. However, the crust was quite hard and a bit tricky to cut through. The pork chop was accompanied by a side of cheese bread pudding that was exceptional on its own. Overall, we had a fantastic experience in a wonderful setting. It was the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a lovely evening in Duck.

The restaurant offers beautiful views and has a charming bar/waiting area. I definitely recommend making a reservation. The food was good, though it didn’t stand out. My husband particularly enjoyed the tuna special. We began our meal with the she crab soup, which was absolutely delicious. We also tried the gnocchi, which was decent. However, I wasn't fond of the cornmeal base; it gave the dish a peculiar texture, although the flavor was enjoyable.
