With a dozen... read more The hype surrounding this place is reminiscent of the Apple craze—it's good, but I've definitely had better. I won’t be returning to this location. With a dozen donuts costing around $24, I ended up paying about $2 per donut. The styles and flavor options are pretty standard for donut shops, and these didn’t have a particularly unique taste. What really turned me off was the 36-minute wait for my order of three dozen donuts, while I watched ticket numbers much higher than mine (20 numbers ahead) being called from the same register. When I inquired, they explained it was because I ordered a dozen, but I noticed a man with a higher ticket number receiving four dozen just 10 minutes before me. Their way of making up for the wait? Two extra donuts. What on earth am I supposed to do with two additional donuts when I already have 36? I’m glad to have tried this place, but I definitely won’t be back.

You can customize your donut exactly how you want it—choosing the batter, icing, and toppings. They are served hot and delicious! The coffee is also quite good and reasonably priced. While the outdoor seating is a bit old-fashioned, it’s still comfortable. The location has easy access to the waterfront walkway, which connects to other restaurants and shops in Duck, NC. Keep in mind that parking is limited, so it’s a good idea to arrive early or plan to park nearby and walk.

While on vacation in Duck, we ordered our favorites, but the donuts we received were not what we expected (see photo). Our order was incorrect and appeared hastily prepared. I completely understand how busy they can get during the vacation season, but we placed our order online at 7:00 AM for a pick-up at 11:15 AM. The donuts looked like they had been thrown together by a frustrated toddler during craft time. I'm really disappointed in you guys!
