They were very ea... read more We used Red Sky for our wedding of 105 people, as well as our rehearsal dinner. EVERYONE kept coming up to us saying how amazing the food was. They were very easy to work with (thank you Dena! and we're very professional/we have no complaints. Theirservice at our wedding was impeccable and I would highly recommend. You can't beat the food, the price, and the service theyoffer in the Outer Banks.

It used to be a great restaurant but has been getting... read more Red Sky is near where we have owned a beach house for 12 years, so we have been regulars for a long time. It used to be a great restaurant but has been getting worse with each visit. The menu now has only a few items, but the server knew nothing aboutthem. He literally could not provide any details on any of just a few dishes, like the special or even what today’s soupis. Though there were few others in the restaurant, it took 20 minutes to get a can of beer and we paid $200+ for three entreesthat were served cold, plus an appetizer. The steak was not cooked at all we weren’t asked how we wanted it cooked but coldand not cooked would not have been it. And the fried soft shell crab, the special, was cold and gross because of it. We saw thatcrab dish sitting in the kitchen and told the server it had been sitting there getting cold for 15 minutes and he said itwasn’t ours, then 10 minutes later served us that cold plate. It was truly one of the worst meals and worst restaurantexperiences we have ever had anywhere. We will never be back.

The restaurant was nearly empty when every pl... read more One of the WORST dining experiences I have ever had. Our waitress was extremely rude from the moment we got there. The restaurant was nearly empty when every place in Duck is packed, which should have signaled us to leave. There are only fourentree options and they are all $34+ which is insane for the quality of the food we received. Our waitress was so nasty when weasked for a kids menu for our 12 year old and she said she doesn’t look 12, then when we asked for the steak to be cookedmedium well for her from the main menu since she wouldn’t give a kids menu, the waitress actually scoffed at us and told usthat’s not how it is to be prepared before she snatched the menus out of our hands. After we ordered, she did not return foralmost 45 minutes and when the food arrived everything was cold. You can see directly into the kitchen from the tables and thestaff leaning over the counter and eating scraps as well as hear the cooks complaining. This was a birthday dinner and one ofthe most disappointing experiences. From the extremely poor customer service to the lame and overpriced menu items, I highlyrecommend AVOIDING unless you feel like ruining your night. Please do not respond to this review that you are sorry to hearthis, instead work on hiring people who are kind and considerate and care about the dining experience. We will never return andwe are Duck locals!

The quality of the food is incredible and we opted for a family style meal which was presented on beautiful wood displays for each table. Their staff wasincredibly friendly and you can tell the really enjoy what they do. I was so impressed that not only did they continue to checkon our guests, they offered to bring out more food for the tables if guests wanted seconds (a lot of people took them up on thisoffer) and they were so accommodating to any requests we had. When we did our wedding tasting with them a year ago at NC Grill(their other location), we went at lunch time and decided to go back for dinner later that day because it was that good. Highlyrecommend!!
