Once inside... read more As I pulled the family vehicle into the parking lot, I scanned the area and realized I was the only one from North Carolina within a 50-yard radius. Once inside, I was greeted by the delightful aromas of delicious food and a mix of accents from a French couple, a family from New Jersey, and other unfamiliar voices that were as intriguing as an LED lighthouse. Now, let’s get to the food. The burger was incredible! The fries were decent, but that burger stole the show. It was so juicy that it overflowed from the bun. The piping hot patty paired perfectly with the cool salad and onions. There was a subtle blend of spices in the burger that added a sharper flavor than usual—something I just can’t quite pinpoint, but it was delicious. I only wish I hadn’t waited two days to write this review. Anyway, don’t just take my word for it; you should definitely check it out for yourself!

When in town we typically stay just a few blocks from Timbuck II, and First Light has become our favorite year after year. Let 's be clear here; THEY ARE VERY SLOW! However, once you get your food… It just plain rocks! Here are my favorites so far: 1. Breakfast Philly: Simply a great Philly split in half with two eggs over easy on top 2. The Crab Benny: Eggs Benedict with crab cakes on top and Home fries (potato wedges) 3. The Reuben: They serve it two ways (Traditional or Southern) Get it Southern It kicks ass! If you 're there for lunch I definitely recommend trying the chips over the fries as they are home made kettle style chips and so good you 'll crave them later. Don 't visit this place for quick meal! It IS a great place to feast and enjoy! Dave Kansas City

The Firehouse Burger was one of the best burgers I've ever had. Best part, it was served directly from the grill;very hot ????! Served with jalapeños and grilled onions and covered with American cheese, lettuce and tomato with picklestrips. Side of house-made potato chips rounded out the meal. Our other dish was the Breakfast Sandwich with Sausage servedwith a fried egg and sausage gravy. A very fine meal. Only disappointment was iced tea is unsweetened. I didn't know I wasthat far north! ???? Highly recommend when in the Corolla, NC area Outer Banks, NC.

Our server, Aleksandra, took incredible care of our group of 9. Food was great; many Dirty Hangovers, Crabby Benny, a Short Stack and a Classic #3(Eggs, pancakes, potatoes, and a biscuit). Had a dietary concern and it was handledperfectly. Incredibly busy location and for good reason. Had a fantastic time, will definitely return.
