We overheard another wait... read more The food was good to excellent, but the overall experience was bizarre. We asked a number of questions about menu items, then ordered. We overheard another waitress telling other diners about specials for the evening and we asked our waitress why she hadn't told us about them. She said it was because we had interrupted her with our questions. Bad enough, but when she overheard us discussing this, she decided that it was appropriate to confront us about our conversation. She then stomped off and announced to the other workers that she was done with serving us. Another waitress stepped up and the manager did apologize, but we couldn't understand why someone in a service industry would think this was appropriate. We MAY go back at some point but we will walk out if that waitress is there. This is a tourist area. Don't they want return customers

Think mashup of Korean, Japanese, Hawaiian and Californian cuisine. We ordered a lot of different small plates to share which worked wonderfully. Great flavors, ingredients and presentation. Look forward to visiting again

She then angrily announced to her coworkers that she was refusing to serve us any longer. Thankfully, another waitress took over and the manager apologized for the incident. Despite the apology, we were baffled why someone in the service industry would think this behavior was acceptable. While we may consider returning to the restaurant in the future, we will only do so if the waitress in question is not working. As tourists in the area, we were left wondering if the restaurant values its returning customers.
