Perry Williamson took over the coat in the bakery that his granddaddy created, and does things exactly as they were done when I was a little kid 45 years ago. I recommend the chocolate donuts, chocolate donut holes, donut twist and of course... The world-famous regular donuts! (Everything is great)
This restaurant has a special place in my heart. When I was a teenager, my mother ordered a cake from here (I’m now 36), and it was absolutely fantastic. We're still reminiscing about that cake! In fact, we had a similar cake at my son's birthday party recently. The cake my mother ordered had an adorable puppy with a shoe hanging from its mouth, and I was so attached to it that I told her I didn't want anyone to cut it – I wanted to freeze it instead. I was really upset when they actually sliced it. It was a true work of art, and it tasted incredible. I'm not sure if the same person still owns the place, but I've visited since my teenage years, and the staff has always been very friendly. The desserts here are delicious, and the food presentation is top-notch. I don’t get to visit as often as I’d like, but it's still a wonderful spot. I just had to share my nostalgic experience from the 90s!
They did a great job on my baby's first birthday cake and delicious cake! And when I messed up and came to my cake after closing (slip! They've still made sure they're bringing it to me! The cakes are wonderful and the people too!
I live in Kentucky, and my in-laws live in Dublin, Georgia. I love visiting them and hope to live there someday. I reached out to the bakery to create a birthday cake for my father-in-law featuring a rooster, as he raises chickens. When my mother-in-law sent me a picture of him with the cake, I was blown away by the fantastic job they did. I will definitely use them again. They are the best!
