Some found the food subpar, with complaints about gristly meat and lackluster burritos, while others raved about the juicy and tender lengua tacos. Despite minor issues with orders and busy nights, many reviewers praised the fresh ingredients, delicious salsa bar, and friendly service. The menu is described as simple but satisfying, with generous portion sizes and reasonable prices. Overall, this humble taqueria seems to have won over a loyal following, providing a solid option for Mexican cuisine in the area.
Fresh ingredients. Chips are delicious. Many many sauces. Big menu. I was ordering and couldn't understand the guy and I asked a different question and he just repeated himself so as far as staff interaction.. eh. It was super busy with a line out the door.My carne asada taco looked pretty sad with dry meat. I got a tostada though and that was delicious. very big meal. Goodness. Tasted excellent for breakfast in the AM and the free refills on horchata are killing me. I'd go back for sure but maybe not on a busy night.
So far only had a burrito but it was fantastic. I enjoyed the chille Verde and my buddy swears by the El pastor. Gonna have to try the camarones next time! Salsa bar is great too. The neon orange one packs a punch!
Parking is easy, tasty menu, and there's enough seating that I've never had to wait to sit and eat. Fajita plate with extra tortillas is my go-to, and I share that with one other person, so healthy portion size too.
Two stars for ok taqueria eating, but also only two stars, because the second time I went was the second chance to have a better order I went a second time to check my order, was sure it was in order and it wasn't. I have the single-taco plate to go an order. I live for about two minutes. when I came home and I placed my order in the restaurant, the taco was soft, soggy and could not be picked up. not to mention very little filling. overall it is just okay to eat, but over price and get my order wrong twice is just frustrating. will not go back. I even left a tip! with how the works are today, I want to get what I pay! and a simple order. disappointed
Only terrible, the al pastor was so gristly and I am not the type to even gistle. the queen of my wife was more like a burrito without tears. the beans in my burrito were tasteless and tasted hard and old and fresh from the dose. I don't know how this place had 4 star ratings at all. Maybe because taqueria wasn't popular in san ramon, I don't have a clue. but I would definitely save her money and go somewhere else. el grullense is worlds better. but it is in a pleasant hill.
