I ordered this through UberEats, and the spicy tuna hand rolls were fantastic! The portions were quite generous. Everything was neatly packaged with soy sauce and dipping cups, along with napkins and chopsticks—such a thoughtful touch! Once again, the hand rolls were incredible!
The worst sushi I've ever had! The soy sauce was cheap and overly salty, while the rice was hard and lacked flavor (which is crucial!). If I could give this place a negative rating, I would give it -3 stars. Sushi.com is so much better!
I've been to Kintsugi a few times, and it's consistently enjoyable. They offer a nice variety of specialty rolls, and I appreciate that they have both hand rolls and cut rolls available. An added highlight is the Yakitori, which I always enjoy. I highly recommend trying the Miso-Glazed Eggplant; it’s incredibly tender and pairs wonderfully with the savory miso sauce. The Spider Roll is another favorite of mine. The soft-shell crab is quite large and meaty, and it complements the cucumber and avocado perfectly.
So glad I got to stop in before they closed. It's been on my list for a while now and was sad to learn it's their last month open! Really enjoyed the hand rolls and the yakitori were tasty (though on the pricy side, especially for the eggplant one). Hand rolls have a good amount of protein and rice and are so delicately wrapped. They have soy sauce jelly in them to reduce plastic waste which is awesome. Liked all 3 that we tried salmon, spicy salmon and spicy tuna. Really enjoyed the experience of sitting right at the bar. Could watch all the food being prepped. A nice casual sushi lunch that tasted high quality!
Very happy to have this new addition to the Central Ohio sushi scene! With the loss of Kihachi and BaSho in the past few years and Akai Hana going to dinner only, my only other go-to for sushi during lunch had been Sushi Ten. The quality of the fish and the rice that they use for their sushi are top-notch here. Very pleasantly surprised to see that they use the more premium bluefin tuna for their tuna rolls as opposed to the more common yellowfin (ahi) tuna. This only applies to their regular tuna roll and tuna nigiri though, I believe. Their spicy tuna and torotaku tuna rolls use yellowfin, which is still good. Other reviews mention that it can take some time to get your order after you place it... so I ordered ahead on ChowNow via Skymiles Dining. That was a mistake as I later realized the online price is ~20% higher than what it would have cost had I ordered it directly through them. The Kintsugi Sushi Bar website's online ordering system is through ChowNow too, but it displays the lower price if you don't go through other online portals. You can't figure that out at first because their website's online menu doesn't list any prices... My only real gripe with this place so far.
