Contribute FeedbackChaat Bhavan has garnered a mixed bag of reviews, showcasing its vibrant Indian vegetarian cuisine. While many patrons praise the restaurant for its delicious dishes and attentive service, there's a call for improvement in specific areas. Favorable comments highlight the exceptional chaat items and generous thali servings, while suggestions for better differentiation among curry dishes emerge. Overall, the restaurant is lauded for its friendly atmosphere, accommodating staff, and unique menu options, including Jain selections. While some diners may have experienced inconsistencies, the consensus reflects a strong desire to return and explore the diverse offerings further.
Savio was our server and he even surprised me by knowing my son's birthday and bringing out a cake with his name on it. It was a very kind gesture and we were thrilled. This restaurant is the best place for vegetarians. Food: 5/5.
The restaurant offers a variety of vegetarian dishes with many Jain options on the menu. The ambiance is pleasant and the staff is attentive. The mango lassi was particularly delicious. I tried the Jain makki di roti and sarson da saag, which was unique but tasty. The paneer chilly was also very enjoyable. For those with dietary restrictions, the restaurant offers Jain food without onion and garlic.
This restaurant is fantastic! The food is delicious and the service is excellent. They consistently provide high-quality meals every time you dine there. The menu offers a wide variety of options to suit all tastes. Their pani puri and chaat items are exceptional and deserve a 5-star rating. The monthly specials, such as the soy chop, are also impressive. However, their curries could be improved as they tend to have a similar base, making it difficult to distinguish between dishes like shahi paneer and paneer tikka masala. If this issue is addressed, I would give this restaurant a 5-star review.
We wish we had a Chaat Bhavan in NE Iowa! The Bhel Poori appetizer was delicious and new to us—and the serving size is generous. We each ordered a different Thali and these were also delicious and generously portioned. (We could have/should have shared one. Also new to me was the Masala Soda—an acquired taste but grew on me quickly, and now I’ll make it at home. Service was attentive and friendly. Our next trip back to CA will mean stopping here again!
We are complete foreigners when it comes to authentic Indian cuisine, but our server Anmol was very patient and answered all our questions. We got the Easter special thali dish. It was delicious.
