Nice setting, world, good atmosphere. A shot offered on the pub tour. I had fun. Then another pub...
Went to see The Harvest Ministers last Tuesday in Whelans.The performance was wonderful and took place in an upstairs area that was so intimate and very conveniently served by a bar off the smoking area. This was an unknown spot to me.It has been awhile....Whelans has always been a great venue and it was lovely to be back there after quite a few years. I feel its call again.
Whelan's it's like having the band live in your sitting room
It is a bar with several distinct concepts. I visited on the weekend; the second-floor beer garden featured a silent disco with headphones, right next to it was a live band performance, downstairs was a regular pub, and next to that was karaoke. It is a place where global locals hang out regardless of age, rather than tourists.
