To start, I ordered the soup wi... read more I recently had a meal in P. McCormack and Sons in Dun Laoghaire and unfortunately the food didn’t quite live up to expectations. To start, I ordered the soup with bread. The soup itself was gorgeous and full of flavour, but some of the bread that came with it was a bit stale which was disappointing. For the main course we ordered burgers, but the buns were heavily over-toasted which made them quite hard and not very enjoyable to eat. I also had a portion of chicken wings. The sauce on the wings was warm and tasted nice, but the wings themselves were cold which took away from the dish. That said, the pub itself was very clean and the staff were extremely professional, polite, and pleasant to deal with throughout the visit. The service was good, but unfortunately the food just didn’t match the same standard.
