Fitz Deli - Dublin
Fitz Deli
Description
The Ugly Duckling Deli in Roscrea offers a solid dining option with a diverse sandwich menu. While the food was enjoyable, some issues were noted with the slimmers breakfast, and a staff member's cigarette smoke smell. However, the friendly and attentive staff, delicious food, and cozy atmosphere make it a recommended spot, especially for visitors to try their fresh and consistent offerings. The welcoming service, great value, and beautifully prepared food create a lovely atmosphere for a satisfying meal at this local gem on the main street. Highly recommended for both breakfast and lunch.

Food was lovely and fresh , piping hot and lots of food , staff are very accommodating and very good with kids. Price is very reasonable
Stopped in here for lunch yesterday. We got a lovely warm welcome on a cold miserable day . We had delicious home made mushroom soup and sandwiches that were filled to the brim , . Followed by the scrumptious cheese cake and sticky pudding . The cappuccino is as the best I’ve had in ages . The Staff were very friendly especially the slightly more mature lady who was very willing to answer my questions about Roscrea a town I hadn’t visited in many many years . I highly recommend this restaurant. Ye are doing a fantastic job guys .
I had a wonderful time at this neighborhood spot on the main street. The food was tasty and affordable, and the service was top-notch. I tried their lunch menu, which was exceptional. Although I didn’t get a chance to try the breakfast, I’m definitely planning to return.
Fitz Deli offers a diverse menu filled with delicious breakfast options, from traditional Irish dishes to vegetarian choices and pancakes. The food arrived hot and full of flavor, the toast was flawlessly cooked, and the tea was outstanding. The desserts also looked incredibly tempting for my next visit!
I was quite disappointed with the Slimmers Breakfast at Fitz Deli today. The menu described grilled bacon, eggs (poached or scrambled), mushrooms, beans, and tomato. However, the bacon was fatty and greasy, certainly not grilled, and the whole plate was drenched in grease. The poached eggs were fine, but I really dislike beans simply placed directly on the plate—surely a small ramekin would be neater? As someone in the hospitality industry, I would be embarrassed to serve a dish like that to guests. I won’t be returning anytime soon. The presentation could be much improved, as people do eat with their eyes first. The coffee was good, but at €11, the meal wasn’t good value, especially when so much was left uneaten.
