We visited this restaurant for a drink while staying in Dublin three years ago. The establishment is beautiful, the staff are very friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is lively and welcoming. The prices are a bit high, but that seems to be the norm in the Temple Bar area. There is live music that ranges from popular songs to traditional Irish music, and it is not too loud to hinder conversation. The staff were interested to learn where we were from and what music we enjoyed. When we mentioned that we were from Greece and loved U2, they played U2 songs just for us and dedicated them to us. It was a truly unforgettable night.
I have visited this restaurant a few times before when it was known as The Norseman. The prices for drinks were always high due to its location in Temple Bar, but recently they have become even more unreasonable. During a visit on a Thursday at 5pm, I was charged €6.40 for a pint of Heineken and €6 for a bottle of Sol. The prices have increased significantly compared to my previous visits, and I do not plan on returning at these inflated rates. I recommend going to the Porterhouse instead for a better selection of beer at more reasonable prices.
