I had tried to call twice w... read more Stopped in at motor inn right next door to this Chinese restaurant. I was very impressed when I got a call back from the restaurant. I had tried to call twice with horrible connection (I have no idea what the issue was, but, as I was beginning to make an online booking for KFC, The lovely phone operator from Fortune Kitchen called and was very helpful with my order. I walked the 2 minutes from my apartment to the store and was very impressed with the presentation. I was served within minutes and went on my way, back to my room. Here 's where my review went from 3-4 stars to a solid 5/5. The short soup was absolutely superb, and my two meals (Singapore noodles and Satay Chicken , were absolutely fantastic. Not the cheapest Chinese meals I 've had, but definitely up there with some of the best. Definitely recommend this place. I was not disappointed. Small update: I had my short soup, which was superb, and a serving of satay chicken, which really hit the spot. But, I have to say, that my Singapore noodles, that I ordered as a backup in case I didn 't enjoy my meals, was absolutely delicious. So now I am sitting here, having finished my short soup and satay chicken, and then absolutely destroyed my Singapore noodles, and all I can think is, 'Thank good I went to this place instead of KFC. DEFINITELY WORTH A TRY!

Had takeaway singapore noodles and pad thai it was excellent and very good value. Garlic Prawn Fried Rice is a delicious dish. Plenty of king prawns and vegetables, the fried rice was tender, flavoursome and moist. Its also really filling and a cost effective all in one meal.

The dim sims appeared to be steamed inst... read more The sweet corn soup lacked flavor, while the beef satay had a slight bite but was missing the traditional satay flavor. The dim sims appeared to be steamed instead of fried, but they had the most flavor out of everything we tried. Despite being steamed, they were quite enjoyable.
