Beautiful historical house with bay views surrounded by beautiful gardens. seasonal menu is always good

Trish in cafe made our visit to heronswood incredible. it was 2:55 clock, and our day seemed gloomy, not yet eaten, and came to heronswood cafe 5 minutes before the closure. as the sign has been read closed and they are packing, we asked the staff if there were something plant-based that we could order. they allowed us to take a place, and served brot with dipping and a pudding. Both were good, but my partner could not eat much of it gluten-intolerant. Once trish (the cook) recognized this, she slashed a super delicious salat that really did our day (that is not on the menu, and is normally served to the staff on a pause.) trish 's friendliness was so much appreciated, and we think that the menu should be trish 's coworker salat creation, along with more herbal dressing. because it is a gardener cafe, fresh whole food-based products should be the hero of the menu!

Eat them regularly here. eating is incredibly high standard, very fresh. service excellent and location brilliant. I like to sit outside.

Dining at Herenswood Cafe was a wonderful experience. We reserved the room, pictured, and indulged in first rate meals and the service was outstanding. Lovely view from the windows and a stroll in the gardens after lunch was most looked forward to, and didn't disappoint. A trip to the shop found me exactly what I wanted, a large bowl that now sits under a tree in my garden, a nice memory of a relaxing, pleasant afternoon.
