Whenever I visit Drogheda, I always make it a point to stop by this restaurant. The fish is consistently fresh and delicious.
Probably the best chipper in Drogheda. Class chips and the best Chicken fillet burger ever. Ask for it with Taco sauce. Delish. Plus they have free delivery and an App.
Well, the fish was nice and yummy, the chips were a different story, ice cold, turned to dust in me mouth. The milkshake was the best thing I have ever tasted
I visited Macari-xtra again after returning from vacation in Lanzarote. We ordered two fresh cod fillets with tartar sauce and chips, plus a spicy burger and sausage for dessert. The fish was outstanding, the chips were very fresh, and the homemade tartar sauce was excellent. The spicy burger and sausage were fantastic as well. Every time I come here, the quality is consistently superb. Hatton's in Puerto Del Carmen was great for fish and chips, but Macari-xtra definitely deserves to be in the same league. Simply put, it was amazing. I highly recommend this takeaway. 15/10.
