But who would have thought there would be a great restaurant on a tiny airfield? We were pleasantly surprised to find a place just as good as any big city restaurant! We arrived at 7:00 p.m. on a Saturday night without a reservation and were seated in the bar area right away. I recommend making a reservation though! One of us had the black pepper filet, while the other had the New York strip. The chef didn't skimp on the pepper, and everything was cooked perfectly. We especially enjoyed the pork dish with tomato, corn, and basil over a bed of creamy polenta. Our dessert was a delightful surprise - we ordered the maple cheesecake and were presented with a plate featuring a smoked glass dome and a cookie. Our server explained that it was a deconstructed cheesecake and instructed us to dip the cookie into the smoked glass filled with cheesecake filling. It was a unique and delicious way to enjoy dessert! Despite being responsible for the bar and also assisting a table of six, our server did an excellent job, much better than what we experienced in the touristy areas of Jackson Hole. If you find yourself in Driggs, this is definitely the place to dine!
